We're celebrating a decade of impact with the Partnership for America’s Children. Over the past ten years, we’ve worked alongside our incredible network and partners to drive positive change for children and families across the nation. Our journey has been marked by key milestones in advocacy, policy wins, and community support.

2013
A group of child advocacy organizations meet to discuss the formation of a new membership organization. Several organizational leaders volunteer to serve on an initial board.
2014
Robert Fellmeth from Children’s Advocacy Institute in California leads the process to incorporate the Partnership and establish it is a for 501(c)(3) organization.
2016
The Partnership launches its website and a library of advocacy and organizational development webinars for child advocates on YouTube.
2017
The Partnership hosts its first senior staff retreat, along with its annual executive director retreat.
2018
The Partnership becomes the national hub on the undercount of young children in the Census, begins to educate network about the role of child advocates, and fundraise to support members’ advocacy.
2019
The Partnership, the Coalition on Human Needs, First Focus, and Zero to Three come together to form the Count All Kids Coalition to ensure our nation’s children were counted in every Decennial Census. The coalition is mobilized to engage in key opportunities for outreach and advocacy.
2020
The Partnership leads the national campaign to count young children in the 2020 Census during the pandemic.
2022
Deborah Stein steps down as Network Director. Michelle Hughes acts as Interim Executive Director, while the board conducts a nationwide search.
2024
The Partnership celebrates its 10th anniversary and unveils a new Strategy Roadmap.
2014
Charles Bruner from Child and Family Policy Center of Iowa serves as project manager and secures startup funding for the Partnership for America’s Children.
2015
The Partnership hires its first Network Director, Deborah Stein, and hosts its first official Executive Director Forum.
2016
The Partnership awards its first pass-through grants to member organizations.
2017
The Partnership becomes the official curator of Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Advocacy Learning Lab, which initially launched in 2014.
2018
The first Florette Angel Memorial Child Advocacy Awards are presented to Cora Greenberg and Dana Naimark, reviving the child advocacy award originally created by Voices for America’s Children.
2020
The Partnership becomes the home of the State Policy Advocacy Reform Center (SPARC), a network created to strengthen the connections between state child welfare advocates to allow for peer learning and support with a focus on advocacy at the state level.
2021
The Partnership and the Count All Kids campaign are honored by the Coalition on Human Needs during their Heroes Reception.
2023
Marquita Little Numan joins the Partnership as Executive Director.
